Yesterday was Jack’s 4-Month Checkup at his pediatrician’s office. Mostly uneventful, really, with the exception of two shots he had to get, one in each leg. Man, I hate those. Earlier this week, Jack poked himself in the eye really hard with his finger. He screamed much longer and louder then than he did today after his shots. I was so proud of him being brave. Not 15 seconds after starting to cry from the shots, he was smiling at the nurse because she was making silly noises at him. Babies are so tough.
So, here are the stats:
- Weight: 14lb, 13oz – puts him in the 50-75 percentile
- Height: 26 inches – puts him in the 75-90%
- Head Circumference – poor little pinhead is still at 15 3/4 inches, which puts him in the 5-10%. Again, the pediatrician assures us it’s what’s inside the head that counts.
She also said she couldn’t hear any evidence of a heart murmur this time, and that those things frequently resolve on their own, so she wasn’t surprised she couldn’t hear it at all. So, that was nice to finally have a visit where someone didn’t inform us of something wrong with the baby…whew.
I also took the requisite senior portrait mirror shot I take at every checkup. Look at that stud!
